About me

My name is Johanna Anzengruber, and I am a 23-year-old pastry chef from Innsbruck, Austria.


Baking has been my hobby for a long time, and when I had the opportunity to become a professional pastry chef while studying business administration, I immediately accepted the challenge. I started the pastry chef program in February 2021 and passed the final apprenticeship exam in September 2021. Additionally, I was voted the most creative cake baker in Austria in 2021.


In 2022, I lived in Antwerp, Belgium, and finished my studies while aiming to deepen my baking skills and sell my homemade pastries. My objective was not only to sell classic baked goods but also to combine them with my special vegan and gluten-free confectionery. At first, I sold my baked goods from "the sweetest window in Antwerp," and later on, I became part of the local food market. At the market, I sold a typical Austrian dessert, "Kaiserschmarr'n," and some of my freshly homemade cakes and pastries weekly. It was a fantastic experience for me.


Now I am back in Innsbruck, Austria, and I am happy to take some orders during summer. 


I draw my inspiration from Scandinavia, so my confectionery usually have a Scandinavian twist. It is essential for me to use local and seasonal ingredients when baking. Moreover, I bake vegan and gluten-free pastries and cakes, as I believe they will be indispensable in the future.
